ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore therapeutic effect of behavioral nursing on patients with atherosclerotic stenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods: A total of 112 patients with atherosclerotic stenosis treated in our hospital were selected.According to ramdom number table and parallel control analysis method, they were randomly and equally divided into routine nursing group and behavioral nursing group (received more active behavioral nursing based on routine nursing group), both groups were treated and observed for six months. The self-care ability scale score before and after nursing, incidence of complications and quality of life (QOL) score after six months were compared between two groups. Results: Compared with before nursing care, after six-month nursing, self-care ability scores significantly rose in both groups, P<0.01 both;compared with routine nursing group after six months, there were significant rise in self-care ability score [(110.34±12.84) scores vs.(128.49±11.39) scores](P=0.001) and each dimension score of QOL(P=0.001 all), and significant reduction in incidence rate of complications (21.4% vs.7.1%,P=0.031) in behavioral nursing group. Conclusion: Behavioral nursing can improve self-care ability, quality of life, promote rehabilitation, effectively reduce occurrence of postoperative complications in patients with atherosclerotic stenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of bundles intervention in intrahospital transport of critically ill patients. Methods The grouping was performed with the intrahospital transport time periods, the intrahospital transport cases from January to March 2015 were set as the control group and adopted the conventional method;those from April toJune 2015 were set as the observation group and adopted the bundles intrahospital transport strategy. The random sampling was conducted by using the proportion of 5%.The sampling results were 110 cases in the control group and 116cases in the observation group. The occurrence situation of adverse events were observed and compared between the two groups. Results No significant differences were found in the status before intrahospital transport between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence rate and grade of adverse events during intrahospital transport process in the observation group were lower than those in the cantrel group with statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05);in the analysis of the adverse events causes, the factors such as staff, equipments, disease condition and flow process had statistical difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion The bundles intervention can reduce the adverse event occurrence of intrahospital transport of critically ill patients and increases the transport security.

ABSTRACT

The applications of targeting gene delivery systems in tumor therapy have attracted extensive attention of researchers in recent years, as they can selectively deliver the therapeutic gene to tumor sites, improve the success rate of gene therapy and reduce the side effects. Therefore, design and development of novel gene delivery vehicles have been a hot area of current research. Recent studies have shown that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the ability to migrate towards and engraft into the tumor sites. Therefore, these properties make them a great hope for efficient targeted-delivery vehicles in cancer gene therapy. In this review, we examine the promising of utilization of MSCs as a targeted-delivery vehicle for cancer gene therapy, and summarize various challenges and concerns regarding this therapy.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo investigate the value of 64-slice CT urography (CTU) in diagnosis of urologic diseases. Methods Sixty patients with suspected urinary system diseases underwent 64-slice CT volume scanning and 3D reconstructions. The diagnostic value of 64-slice CTU was evaluated.ResultsThere were 14 patients with urinary system cancers,2 with ureter polyp,9 with tuberculosis of urinary system,13 with urinary system calculus,13 with nonmalignant ureterostenosis combined with hydronephrosis,2 with ureterostenosis and hydronephrosis induced by nearby organic damage,2 with traumatism,1 with renal occlusion,as well as 4 after urinary tract surgeries and 2 without abnormality.Totally 28 cases was confirmed with surgery and pathology, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of MSCTU for upper tract tumor was 100%(14/14),85.71% (12/14) and 92.86% (26/28),respectively.ConclusionMSCTU is able to directly and clearly show urologic diseases. It can be regarded as the first choice in patients with clinically suspected urinary tract diseases, especially tumors.

ABSTRACT

AIM To investigate the effect of DO C(deoxycholic acid) on the absorption of INS-PLA-NP[insulin-loaded poly(lactic acid) nanoparticles] in different sites of gastrointestinal tracts. METHODS After INS-PLA-NP that contained or did not contain DOC was adminitered to different sites in gastrointestianl tracts(stomach, small intestine and colon)of normal rats, the hypoglycemic effect was observed. RESULTS The hypoglycemic effect did not exist after intragastric administration of INS-PLA-NP whether or not DOC was added. The alleviatory hypoglycemic effect was evident after intraintestinal absorption of INS-PLA-NP. After DOC was added, the absorption of INS-PLA-NP was accelerated obviously and the hypoglycemic effect was strengthened significantly. Glucose levels hardly changed after INS-PLA-NP was administered to colon. With the use of DOC, a little hypoglycemic effect appeared. CONCLUSIONS The absorption of INS-PLA-NP in small intestine was accelerated and enhanced by DOC. DOC could be used as absorption enhancer of INS-NP in the future.
